Custom Temporary Tattoos
How much does it cost to print a custom design temporary tattoo? For custom temporary tattoo pricing please contact us for a quote.
Please include the following information:
What is the minimum order for custom temporary tattoos? The minimum order for custom temporary tattoos is 100 units, printed on any of our standard card sizes. For non-standard sizes, the minimum order is 1,000 units.
Custom tattoos can be ordered in increments of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 1,000. For custom orders over 1,000, tattoos can be ordered upwards in increments of 1,000. Eg. 2,000 3,000 4,000 etc. Discounted rates apply as you order more.
If you require less than 100 custom tattoos please check out our: DIY Temporary Tattoo Paper
What is the turn-around time for custom temporary tattoo printing? All orders with approved design artwork and payment in full by 5pm (AEST) on any business day are sent via express post 4 weeks later.
We offer a rush service (3 weeks) for an additional $150.00 rush fee. Minimum order for fast turn-around is 1,000 units.
Please remember to allow additional time for postage. See delivery times for more information.
What are your standard sizes? Our standard card sizes are listed below:
38mm x 38mm
38mm x 50mm
38mm x 63mm
38mm x 76mm
50mm x 50mm
50mm x 76mm
63mm x 76mm
76mm x 76mm
76mm x 101mm
101mm x 150mm
When deciding on the size for your custom temporary tattoo card, please allow 3mm on each side of the card. We don't print in this area to avoid slicing through any part of the design when the cutters divide the paper. So your temporary tattoo design will be slightly smaller than the actual tattoo card. Please keep this in mind when deciding on a size.
Are temporary tattoos safe? All of our custom printed temporary tattoos use FDA certified colourants. The most comprehensive independent lab testing in the industry has been conducted on all of the inks including eye irritation, skin irritation, oral toxicity, heavy metals, flammability, small parts and use & abuse tests. Please note that some individuals can develop allergic skin reactions, even when using medical grade glue.
How are custom temporary tattoos printed? All of our custom temporary tattoos are printed using an off-set printer. Compared to other printing methods, offset printing is best suited for cost-effectively producing high quality temporary tattoos.
In what formats do you accept my artwork? We can work with any type of digital file you have available! If you are not sure if the file you have is sufficient for printing, email it to us and we will check it out, at no charge to you.
If possible, we prefer files to be CMYK. Vector .eps, and .ai files need to have the fonts outlined or sent in with the art and .jpg, .tiff, and .psd, files to be at least 300ppi at the size you want printed. We do accept PDF files as well.
In general, .giff files and images taken straight from a website are too poor in quality and resolution to make a nice temporary tattoo, but we will work with you to ensure you get the best quality printed tattoo possible! For any questions please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
* Please see the terms defined below:
CYMK: Cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).
EPS: Encapsulated PostScript. The PostScript format and language is a trademark of Adobe Systems Inc (tm).
TIFF: Tagged Image File Format. A graphic file format for PC and Macintosh. It is compatible with most image-editing software.
PPI: Pixels per inch.
How many colours can I get printed? All temporary tattoos are printed using as many colours as you want. An optional white ink can be added at no additional cost. See 'What are white effects?' below.
Will I receive a proof?Proofs are samples of copy and layout produced and sent via email to you. Proofs are only provided when you add this product to cart. Please note that proofs can delay the processing time. Pricing for proofs is $20. Please advise us via email if you would like this option.
How do I order?Ordering is a simple 4-step process:
1) Obtain a quote from us based on size and quantity required.
2) Email us at email@example.com to advise you would like to go ahead with an order.
3) Email us your design graphics and white effect options (see more info on white effects below). Once your artwork has been approved for printing, we can organise payment.
4) Make your purchase online through our website (We will send you a specialised link for your quote).
Once artwork is approved and payment has been made, your order will be posted in 3 weeks (or 2 weeks for rush service). Please allow extra time for postage on top of this. For delivery times, please click here.
What are white effects? We offer 3 white effect options (free of charge). If you want a white effect for your custom temporary tattoo, then white ink must be printed. Please specify Flood White, Spot White or No White for your design.
Flood White:White covers the entire image (not the background) and once transferred looks more brilliant in color because the layer of white makes the image more opaque. On tattoo paper the image will appear 'milky'.
Spot White:White ink is only printed in specific parts of the design. For example, eyes will actually look white when transferred, but no white will be behind the design.
No White:The design area is transparent (the white tattoo paper backing is visible) but will transfer clear on the skin and be skin tone.
